LIVING EARTH ANNOUNCES OPENING OF IOWA COLONY SITE, CONTINUED GROWTH IN HOUSTON METRO AREA
July 6, 2009
Dallas, TX – Living Earth Technology Company (“Living Earth”) announces the opening of its newest location in the greater Houston metro area. Living Earth’s Iowa Colony location, located at 16138 Highway 6, Iowa Colony, TX, opened for business on June 9th.
“We are excited about expanding our presence in the Houston area,” Mark Rose, President of Living Earth, remarked. “Now with 16 locations, Living Earth is uniquely positioned to serve its customers. From the Iowa Colony site, we will continue to support the growth of Iowa Colony and the other fast growing communities of Pearland, Friendswood, Lake Jackson and all of Brazoria County. We remain committed to our broad-based growth strategy, which will allow us to better serve a larger number of existing and prospective customers.”
Living Earth has served the greater Houston area for over 20 years, recently launching the Houston Mulch™ product, with which Houstonians have been contributing to the effort of conserving landfill space and returning green material back into the local environment since its launch last fall.
“We are excited about Living Earth’s continued growth since our investment in 2007,” said Phil Arra, President of Hunt Special Situations Group, Living Earth’s principal investor. “Working on a collaborative basis with management, Living Earth has been able to continue to grow in many strategic areas—organic growth, new commercial and municipal arrangements and contracts, and new site development. Acquisitions also remain an area of interest. Living Earth’s environmental value proposition touches on a number of important environmentally friendly themes, including waste diversion, conservation of landfill space, air quality and greenhouse gases. We believe Living Earth can serve as the model for a solutions-based environmental partner of choice for many current and prospective stakeholders. We will continue to seek ways to continue to grow Living Earth not only in Texas, but also in other markets, both organically and through acquisitions.”
